In
fall 2008, we visited Devil's Tower, Wyomng and I was
entranced by the prayer flags tied to trees in that holy
place. Back home, I read about Tibetan and Native American
prayer flags. I had been looking for a project I could
do in short amounts of time with limited materials and
mess. These are my first prayer flags. When the weather
gets warmer, I'll figure out how to move them outside
in the wind. They are, left to right:
- Our Father, who art in heaven--graphic response to
a Bible study
- Prayer for healing of recent increase in MS symptoms
- Prayer of Thanksgiving for a peaceful election day
in the U.S.
- Prayer for the 2008-2009 new year
.
