Notes to 70's Feminists and Other Aging Freedom Fighters
In 2001, I was part of the Summer Women's Art Institute
at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The guest
lecturer was artist Judy Chicago, who spent a day with
the group of 20 midwestern women artists. Chicago berated
the group for being apathetic and lacking in critical
thinking. She left in a huff.
During the last week of the three-week intensive, I taught
myself to make videos and created this response.
